Day 1: Arrival in Arusha.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a representative from Mrunde African Tours and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Arusha, often referred to as the safari capital of Tanzania, offers a perfect starting point for your adventure. After checking in at your hotel, take some time to relax and prepare for your safari experience.
Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Arusha to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. The journey itself is an adventure, as you traverse through the stunning landscapes of Tanzania. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings as you pass through local villages and diverse habitats. Arrive at your lodge in Serengeti in the evening, where you’ll be welcomed with warm hospitality and breathtaking views of the wilderness.
Day 3: Full Day Safari in Serengeti
Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and start your day with a hearty breakfast. Today is dedicated to exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti, home to an incredible array of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros). Your expert safari guide will lead you on game drives in search of these iconic animals, as well as other species such as giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and wildebeests. Be prepared for unforgettable wildlife encounters and photographic opportunities as you immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Serengeti.
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, bid farewell to Serengeti as you embark on a journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, enjoy game drives through the Serengeti, allowing you to make the most of your time in this wildlife-rich ecosystem. As you approach the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, marvel at the stunning scenery and panoramic views. Arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim, where you can relax and soak in the breathtaking surroundings.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Expedition
Today’s adventure takes you into the heart of the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Descend into the crater floor, a haven for diverse wildlife and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you explore this unique ecosystem, keep an eye out for the resident lion prides, herds of elephants, grazing buffaloes, and elusive leopards. The crater also boasts a high concentration of rhinoceros, making it one of the best places in Africa to spot these endangered creatures. After a full day of game viewing, ascend back to the crater rim for a well-deserved rest and dinner under the stars.
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, transfer back to Arusha where you’ll bid farewell to Tanzania, taking with you cherished memories of your safari adventure in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.
